Member-wise deletion of the three legacy resolver members named in
docs/research/2026-08-05-c5a-contract.md: PhysicsEngine.Resolve,
PhysicsEngine.HasCellSurface, and PhysicsEngine.ResolvePlacement. An
exhaustive receiver census over src/ found zero production callers of any
of the three — every production placement writer already reaches the
canonical PhysicsEngine.SetPosition transaction exclusively through
RuntimeSetPositionState (three call sites total). The deletion is purely
member-wise: IsSpawnCellReady and AdjustPosition, which shared the same
source region as the deleted members, are preserved byte-identical — every
remaining production caller of either (including PhysicsCameraCollisionProbe,
AdjustPosition's sole surviving production caller) is unaffected.
Companion changes:
- PlayerMovementController's 3-argument SetPosition test overload is renamed
to SeedPlacementForTest (internal) and CommitPreparedPosition is deleted;
83 call sites across 19 test files were mechanically renamed to match.
- Seven pinned test dispositions from the contract are executed:
3.1 (PhysicsEngineTests.cs: 11 legacy-resolver tests deleted, 6
ResolveWithTransition tests kept), 3.2/3.3/3.4 (re-point to canonical
SetPosition, with TransitionScratchDifferentialTests.cs additionally
gaining positive IsCommitted assertions after each bitwise comparison so
the differential proves a placement actually committed, not just that two
possibly-uncommitted results match), 3.5 (Runtime rename), and 3.6
(PlayerMovementPlacementTransactionTests.cs rewritten — its xmldoc now
states plainly that the render-root publish moved to
RuntimeSetPositionState.cs, but the sticky-release relocation claim was
false and is retracted; this disposition's coverage loss is the sticky
release path, not silently absorbed elsewhere).
- Stale `PhysicsEngine.Resolve`/`Resolve` doc citations in CellTransit.cs,
PlayerMovementController.cs, and HeadlessSessionWorldProjection.cs are
corrected to name the surviving canonical entry points by symbol
(SetPosition, AdjustSetPosition/AdjustPosition, ResolveWithTransition)
rather than fragile line numbers.
Retires AP-1 and AD-1 in docs/architecture/retail-divergence-register.md:
both rows described production zero-delta placement routing remaining on
the legacy resolver pending the Slice 4B2/4B route cutover; that resolver
no longer exists, so the condition each row tracked is now structurally
false rather than merely narrowed. AP-145 (routed through the prior commit)
and this commit's AP-1/AD-1 together bring the section counts to 101 AP / 47
AD active rows.
Builds on the AP-145 fix (previous commit) — this commit's staged tree was
independently rebuilt and its four suites independently rerun on top of
that commit before this commit was created, in addition to the combined
rebuild/rerun below.
Full-solution build: 0 errors (21 pre-existing warnings, all unrelated).
Suite results (combined tree): Core 4270/4271 passed (1 skip; the single
DatSoundCacheTests concurrent-decode-dedup failure is a known load-sensitive
race, confirmed passing standalone and unrelated to this change), Runtime
1176/1176, Headless 86/86, App 4132/4135 (3 skips).

Move camera pointer, framebuffer resize, and retained/devtools input edges behind focused reversible owners. Preserve input priority while making shutdown deactivate callbacks before live-session retirement and retry physical detach without stranding transport teardown.
Four tests were asserting pre-change behavior after intentional production
changes:
#2 BSPStepUpTests.C3_Path6_AirborneMoverHitsSteepSlope_SetsCollide
b1af56e (L.4, 2026-04-30) added a steep-normal gate in Path 6 that
fires BEFORE SetCollide. Airborne sphere hitting steep poly now returns
Slid + Collide=false (slide-tangent interim fix). Updated assertion +
renamed to ReturnsSlid.
#7 PlayerMovementControllerTests.Update_ForwardInput_MovesInFacingDirection
#8 DispatcherToMovementIntegrationTests.Dispatcher_W_held_produces_forward_motion
235de33 (L.5, 2026-04-30) added _physicsAccum accumulator gate: a single
Update(1.0f) only integrates one MaxQuantum (0.1s ~ 0.312m at walk speed),
not the full 1s. Time is carried in accumulator (not dropped). Fixed both
tests to loop Update(MaxQuantum) for ~11 ticks to accumulate >2m of real
forward motion, preserving the original distance-threshold assertion intent.
#9 PositionManagerTests.ComputeOffset_BothActive_Combined
842dfcd (L.3.2, 2026-05-03) changed ComputeOffset from additive
(rootMotion + correction) to replace semantics: when AdjustOffset returns
non-zero, it REPLACES root motion (retail Frame::operator= semantics).
offset.Y = 0 (not 0.4); root motion is dropped when catch-up engages.
Updated assertion and renamed to CorrectionReplacesRootMotion.
Suite: 9 failures → 5 (only the 5 known-bug tests remain red).

Removes the parallel direct keyboard/mouse polling that K.1a left in
GameWindow alongside the new dispatcher. Now every input flows
through InputDispatcher; legacy IsKeyPressed/KeyDown/MouseDown/MouseUp/
Scroll handlers in GameWindow are deleted (~220-line refactor).
Bindings remain acdream-current (W/S/A/D/Z/X movement, Shift run,
F-key debug surface). K.1c flips them to retail.
Pieces:
- InputDispatcher.IsActionHeld(InputAction): per-frame held-state
query for movement (W/X/A/D/Z/X/Shift/Space) so PlayerMovement-
Controller can read action state without polling raw keys.
Internally walks all bindings for the action; chord match
requires modifier mask exactness.
- InputAction adds AcdreamRmbOrbitHold (Hold-activation, RMB held
drives chase-camera orbit) and AcdreamFlyDown (Ctrl held in fly
mode for descent).
- GameWindow OnInputAction subscriber replaces the entire KeyDown
switch + per-mouse-button handlers. Single dispatcher event drives:
- F1 AcdreamToggleDebugPanel
- F2 AcdreamToggleCollisionWires
- F3 AcdreamDumpNearby
- F7 AcdreamCycleTimeOfDay
- F8 AcdreamSensitivityDown
- F9 AcdreamSensitivityUp
- F10 AcdreamCycleWeather
- F AcdreamToggleFlyMode
- Tab AcdreamTogglePlayerMode (player/fly toggle - K.1c will
reassign this to ToggleChatEntry)
- Esc EscapeKey (cancel fly mode etc.)
- Mouse wheel ScrollUp/ScrollDown (camera zoom)
- RMB held (Hold) drives orbit; LMB drag still drives orbit
camera; mouse position handled by surviving MouseMove handler
which is gated on ImGui WantCaptureMouse.
- MovementInput per-frame: reads from _inputDispatcher.IsActionHeld.
MouseDeltaX hardcoded to 0f (mouse never drives character yaw).
_playerMouseDeltaX field stays defined for chase-camera RMB-orbit
but is never consumed by movement.
- WantCaptureMouse explicit gate at the top of every surviving mouse
handler in GameWindow (defense in depth - dispatcher already gates
via IMouseSource.WantCaptureMouse).
Movement-input boundary preserved: PlayerMovementController.Update
still takes the same MovementInput struct. Existing
PlayerMovementControllerTests continue green - no regression in
motion-command byte production.
Two deviations:
1. Scroll lost magnitude going through the dispatcher (fixed-step
zoom). Acceptable - discrete wheel-tick matches retail feel
anyway.
2. Movement chords are duplicated with both ModifierMask.None and
ModifierMask.Shift (covering "shift held to run while walking
forward" etc.) so the dispatcher's modifier-strict matching
preserves the modifier-blind feel of the old IsKeyPressed
polling. Will be reshaped cleanly in K.1c when retail's
walk-modifier semantics flip (default = run, shift held = walk).
15 new tests:
- InputDispatcherIsActionHeldTests: 7 cases covering chord-held +
release + modifier-mismatch + multi-binding-for-action.
- InputDispatcherTests: 3 scroll-action cases.
- DispatcherToMovementIntegrationTests (Core.Tests): 5 cases
proving FakeKeyboardSource.Press(W) -> dispatcher.IsActionHeld ->
MovementInput.Forward -> PlayerMovementController produces the
expected motion-command bytes. Includes the regression-prevention
test that mouse-X delta value (zero vs nonzero) doesn't affect
the motion bytes.
Solution total: 1133 green (243 Core.Net + 225 UI + 665 Core),
0 warnings.
